Welcome to the website for Citizens for Preservation, based in Glendale, AZ. Our main goal, was to save the First Southern Baptist Church's fate on 58th Avenue, between Palmaire and Myrtle Avenues from becoming a parking lot. Although the new buildings were not spared, the original 1926 Calvary Baptist Church has been saved. A taskforce was set-up by the city of Glendale to find the best use for this building. Some of CFP's members received the oppurtunity to serve on this taskforce. Please visit frequently, because the site is still in it's construction phase.
